What Is the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program?

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) at Finding Ways Inc. is a community-based service designed for children, adolescents, and adults living with serious mental illness. PRP goes beyond traditional therapy — it focuses on building the practical skills needed to live independently, maintain employment, manage daily responsibilities, and participate fully in community life. Our trained rehabilitation specialists work alongside each participant to create a personalized rehabilitation plan that reflects their goals and strengths.

What PRP Includes

Skills Development

Hands-on coaching in daily living skills — budgeting, cooking, hygiene, time management, and navigating community resources.

Peer Support Services

Connection with trained peer support specialists who have lived experience with mental illness and recovery.

Community Integration

Support with accessing transportation, community programs, social activities, and building a meaningful support network.

Employment & Education Support

Assistance with job readiness, vocational goals, and educational planning to help participants reach their full potential.

Crisis Prevention Planning

Collaborative development of personalized wellness and crisis prevention plans to support stability and safety.

Care Coordination

Coordination with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and other providers to ensure seamless, whole-person care.

Who Is Eligible for PRP?

  • Children with a serious mental illness diagnosis
  • Adolescents navigating mental health challenges
  • Adults (18+) with a serious mental illness diagnosis
  • Young adults transitioning from residential or inpatient care
  • Individuals with Medicaid or Maryland Medical Assistance
  • Those referred by a psychiatrist, therapist, or case manager
  • Residents of Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, and Prince George's County, MD
